Jeff Soilson

Blob quote

“In the realm of family law, victory isn’t about winners and losers; it’s about fostering resolutions that safeguard the well-being of all involved, especially the children.”

Jeff's extensive career in Family Law litigation showcases his dedication to advocating for clients. His areas of focus include divorce, alimony, property division, child custody, and child support. His experience in litigation, mediation, arbitration, and parenting coordination has resulted in an impressive foundation of knowledge and abilities.

As his reputation flourished within legal circles, larger cases involving more extensive assets and higher income became the norm, enabling Jeff to litigate cases with nearly unlimited resources aimed at supporting his clients in their quest to win. In doing so, he came to the realization that the traditional win-lose nature of litigation, particularly in cases involving children, should be reshaped into a more collaborative approach that honors the complicated and entangled nature of family relationships.

Jeff feels drawn to a world of alternative dispute resolution aimed at collaboration over winning. At Quantum ADR, he harnesses his skills and insights to achieve best outcomes, preserving ongoing relationships, and supporting all parties in being their best selves.

Jeff is a kind and caring person. I have known Jeff for over 10 years and he helped me on several legal matters ranging from employment to family law. Jeff was not your prototypical lawyer and always came at challenges from a position of trying to find a resolution rather than provoke and continue. With time, I learned to trust Jeff completely as I know he always had my best interest at heart and always wanted to do the right thing. Jeff’s approach to legal matters will certainly help him in his next endeavor as he always ultimately wanted to and did help people. I would list myself as one of those lucky enough to have had Jeff helping me through several difficult situations. Always a calm and reasonable person who brings order to what is sometimes mayhem in peoples lives.

Through my process, Jeff at Quantum ADR, understood my feelings about moving forward with my divorce despite being advised by a forensic accountant that there was much more that I would probably be entitled to if I embarked through a lengthy court process (my ex was unwilling to produce documents so I would have to begin court proceedings to get what I needed).  I wanted to move on with my life and begin living a happy life and not go through a lengthy court process which kept me attached to my ex any longer.  That was most important to me.

I have had the pleasure of working with Jeff both personally and professionally over the last 15 years.  As a mother in a newly blended family, my husband and I sought Jeff's guidance on issues pertaining to our estate and the security of our children.  Having known Jeff and his approach this was an obvious choice for our family.

As a clinician, Jeff and I have shared dozens of cases relative to my role as a family therapist, parent coach, and Parent Coordinator with high-conflict divorcing families.  Jeff made navigating the professional and the personal relationship comfortable and seamless.  His professionalism and boundaries are the perfect complement to his inclination toward common sense approaches to maintaining relationships, mediating interests, and finding peace in the most difficult of situations. While Jeff is an attorney by trade, I have always appreciated his desire to coach parents through their impasse using a combination of education and motivational interviewing.  Jeff's skill set and demeanor make him an excellent option for families looking to stay out of the courtroom.

From the first phone call, Jeff made me feel comfortable and gave me immediate advice on how to start protecting myself. We put together a couple of different game plans depending on which way things went with the opposing party. We were able to settle outside of the court system in a 4-way agreement meeting. I retained most of what I wanted out of the divorce and came to a fair parenting agreement and shared custody. I cannot stress enough how much Jeff  had helped me on a personal level keeping myself together and getting through the divorce as well as keeping me informed on the legal side of things tight. I highly recommend.

When I think about Jeff, I don’t think about brutal litigation. There weren’t witnesses crumpling under cross-exam, leveraged opponents hemorrhaging confessions and concessions. And knowing what I know now, that’s not what I needed. I needed someone who could help me see, help me think, and help me progress, at a time when I was struggling to do those things. I needed Jeff and he was there when I needed him most. I’d recommend him to anyone who needs help.
